Getting a Green Light for a Van Evaluation Program

SEMINAR DESCRIPTION

A van evaluation program is a costly service that a facility is wise to research before investing in it.  A trained professional evaluator is as crucial to the program as an appropriate evaluator van equipped to meet the needs of the clients.  This comprehensive workshop focuses on both of these essentials in its study of van and mini-van options for the short distance ambulatory and wheelchair/scooter user. Each participant is expected to come into this workshop with experience and knowledge in the field of driver rehabilitation and should be very knowledgeable and comfortable with the adaptive equipment that is used in a car.

“Shotgun prescriptions” can be eliminated by using the methodical, objective approach taught and practiced in this workshop.  Classroom instruction and hands-on experiences with vehicles, equipment and real clients are used together to cement the knowledge with the skill.  Day 5 involves a graded practicum in order to provide feedback to participants on acquired knowledge and performance level.
