Low Vision Driving »

Our Driving Rehabilitation Specialists are experts at knowing the standards and procedures required for low-vision drivers to be successful on the road. Not only can they assess your safety behind the wheel, but they can also recommend compensatory techniques, adaptive mirrors and adaptations to your vehicle.

Life Skill Assessment »

Our Master Clinicians use an Adolescent Life Skill Assessment to identify if a young person has the potential to learn to drive. The evaluation is then used to provide the parents or caregivers with tools to help the young person work on and enhance the skills needed to become a new driver.

Low-Vision Bioptic Driving »

People with mild to moderate central vision loss but with good peripheral vision may be able to drive in Indiana using a Bioptic system that combines prescription eyewear with a small telescopic lens. Our program, which was approved by the State’s Bureau of Motor Vehicles (BMV), involves a team of professionals working together to ensure that bioptic drivers learn to drive safely through a well-coordinated process of evaluation and training.

Senior Driver Evaluation »

Our OT Practitioner Specialists in Driving have the knowledge base to understand the aging process throughout the life span and medical diagnoses and conditions that can affect driving skills. We value the meaning of independence in community mobility for our senior citizens. Our comprehensive evaluation has two parts, which are the clinical evaluation and the on-road evaluation.

Driver Training »

Driving training is provided by a master clinician and is set up depending on whether the client has had any prior driving experience or not. An evaluation may be used to help determine a person’s a mobility prescription, and if necessary, the training will also teach the driver how to use the prescribed adaptive equipment in his or her vehicle.

ADL Home Evaluation »

We complete a physical and functional mobility evaluation and then make recommendations to enhance or improve one’s independence in the home and/or community.
